Everyone loves a little Jay-Z in their life. After BP3 dropped, Jay-Z has gotten his first #1 hit and now Mike Milan is tackling this hit maker. Mike Milan was inspired after he heard BP3 and set aside his ongoing project to tackle BP3. He has leaked the first 2 tracks and I must say it's pretty commendable. But open your ears and see what you think. If you like it, just wait till mid December when he drops the whole project.

About Time for Snow
My friend sent me a song awhile ago and it was love at first listen. Lately I've been into what I like to call "happy music." The kind of music that pulls me out of bed, makes me want to dance in public and bust out singing where ever I am. The song I'm talking about is "Animal" by Miike Snow. After some research, I found out that if you are a Gossip Girl watcher you may recognize this song from one of the episodes.
I think it makes me happy because of the repetitive keyboard melody. If you listen I think you'll understand where I'm coming from.
But here's the low down of Miike Snow. From the name, you may think it's a solo dolo, but nope you are wrong. It's a Swedish band consisting of Andrew Wyatt, Christian Karlsson and Pontus Winnberg(that name is wonderful). They have a poppy feel that is heavily grounded in keyboard and piano tunes. They have one album right now, Miike Snow. I like it, but the songs do sound a little similar.
Check them out on their myspace page and rock out with some "happy music!"

Follow Up
Last night Mike Milan dropped a new track on illroots.com. I was pretty impressed. Check it out. It's called "Drop" and the beat is just like Kid Cudi's '09 Freestyle which is also good.

Open Your Ears and Eyes for Mike Milan
You probably haven't heard of Mike Milan, 20-- if you have, great! And I applaud you on your music searching skills-- but you should start paying attention to him. He's a rapper/singer from Manhattan who is extremely dedicated to achieving his dreams...Let's help him get his name out there and get him signed! He's always been a lover of music and now he's making some great stuff. He listens to everything from techno(just a little bit) to Coldplay to Lykke Li to Jay-Z to John Legend, so you can expect a variety of sounds from him.
The first time I met him he sang "Falsetto," and I knew he had something. I think his sound has evolved since I've met him, and it's definitely been in a good way. He has a wide vocal range, but he is also a great free-styler.
He mostly writes about girls, his dreams, partying, and his life, but don't limit him to those topics. You can get everything from a baby-making song to a party bumping song from him.
My favorite older songs are Protection, You Only Live Twice, and Bubble Boy, but he has some great newer ones like Can't Stop, Neon Lights, and You.
I know he's been busy working on several projects, so we should all be looking forward to those.
You can follow him through his myspace page: www.myspace.com/mikemilan1
