Playlist Time

It took me awhile to compile this so I hope someone enjoys it. It's what I've been listening to recently and a couple other songs thrown in there for a smile. I find it nice to study/write/make photo projects to. I recommend just opening it up in another window and do your thing because there is definitely around 2 hours worth of music in this playlist...maybe I went overboard, but I have a.d.d and it takes me a long time to accomplish anything.
Enjoy. Happy May!

"The Cure"

Technology has failed me this past week, but I think I may have found "The Cure." haha That was cheesy..but seriously I stumbled upon this artist who calls himself "The Cure." His actual name is Jaiden and his voice is eargasmic. I did a little reading on him and he has five and half octave range...that's pretty much amazing if you don't know.
He is a r&b singer who according to his myspace and imeem profiles, has worked with or toured with  Alicia Keys, Lauryn Hill, Beyonce, John Legend, Jay-Z, and the list goes on with amazing names.
At times he reminds me of John Legend, and then you listen to his remix of "Whatever You Like" and he sounds like T-Pain because of the auto-tune, but mostly he sounds like something I heard of before. This little blurb is on his imeem...and I think it's pretty creative/great:
Cure [verb] 1. relieve (the music industry) of the symptoms of a disease or condition. 2. eliminate (a disease, or condition). 3. solve (a problem or condition). Good music is the CURE to the music industry woes. Jaiden is a proven writer, producer, and singer that has consistently delivered good music to serve as the "Soundtrack of our lives." Take a listen and let us know if you agree.
Check him out on  myspace, imeem, or you can even follow him on twitter

Music is My Stream of Consciousness

I had nothing to contribute to the discussion in class today so I decided to keep track of all the songs that popped in my head while everyone else was talking. I mean how can you talk about Lincoln for around 90 minutes? This may not be that entertaining to you to read, but I thought it was interesting. I came up with some pretty different songs while everyone talked about presidents and power and the constitution. I started about half way through class so there would probably be more than this.
Here's the list but you can listen to it below.
1.)what's your name 2.)the scientist 3.)everybody knows 4.)Superstar 5.)I wonder 6.)lesson learned 7.)take it slow 8.)defying gravity 9.)i will survive 10.) i can see clearly now 11.)less is more 12.) it's tricky 13.)success 14.)too legit to quit 15.)give it to me baby 16.) protection 17.) politik 18.) just around the riverbend 19.)the way that you move girl 20.) paper airplanes 21.)sir duke 22.) gimme more 23.)the general 24.)fidelity 25.)sex, love, and money 26.)got to give it up 27.)rough riders 28.) love train 29.) higher ground 30.) mr president 31.) mrs officer 32.) 1 thing 33.) so high

Party Time!

Since it's officially the weekend for me, I thought I'd share a little playlist. I know when I'm getting ready for the night I need music. It either has to make me dance or get me to sing along. Ask my roommates and they'll tell you I do crazy shit when I get ready. I says it's because the music moves through me and my body can't help, but dance and sing.
Here goes in no particular order..I suggest shuffle if you actually take the time to make this into a playlist. ohh and you can click on the songs if you want to pull them up on youtube. One more thing.. there are a lot of throw backs and ridiculous songs so don't make fun. They get the blood a pumpin':
1. September- Earth, Wind, and Fire
3. Alive- Mondoteck
5. Blame It- Jamie Foxx
6.Poison- Bel Biv Devoe
7. Diva-Beyonce
8. Circus- Britney
9. If I- Justin Timberlake
10. Flashing Lights-Kanye
11. Gifted- N.A.S.A.
13. Let it Rock- Kevin Rudolph ft Lil Wayne
14. Lollipop- Lil Wayne
15. Call On Me- Eric Prydz
16. American Boy- Estelle and Kanye

I know that this is a long selection but sometimes ya gotta do your hair..haha
Just kidding it doesn't take me that long, but here's a variety so you don't have to listen to the whole song. I know people have short attention spans like me.
Have a great night!
